“Great walk made easy by Easy Hike!”

We were really disorganised booking our Routbourn trek and didn't realise how busy it would be in February with Chinese New Year and the cricket! Was a beautiful 2 day hike made super easy by using Easy Hike to relocate our car! Easy hike were brilliant finding us a last minute driver and giving us car hire information (we got the last car left in queenstown!). The walk was stunning and highly recommend doing. We are both quite fit so found it relatively easy. We did this walk over 2 days and enjoyed it immensely.

“Perhaps the best trip I’ve ever made”

We had an amazing two-day, two-night hike starting from the Divide, staying at the MacKenzie hut the first night. (Very nice!) It was at the very beginning of the season (November 3), and so the top of the track was still a little icy in spots from the snow and heavy rains from the day before, making a few narrow passages in the mountains a bit dodgy with all of our gear. But we took it slow, and had amazing weather and breath-taking views. Encountered some very curious Kia's along the way too :-) We used EasyHike car relocation service, which is just as economical as taking the bus with two people, but much more convenient. Our car was waiting for us at the Glenorchy end, full of gas and ready to go back to Queenstown. I would do it all over again just like this in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

“Our easyhike experience (the walk however was a little less easy)”

Such a stunning trip. Words can't describe the effect this walk had on me. I took my teenage son so was expecting a difficult time but the ancient immensity of the scenery and serenity of the trees bonded us in an unforgettable experience. The rangers were delightful and patiently listened to our endless questions and the easyhike crew that drove our car from one side to the other saved us a load of money and were really impressed with their service. I'm not super fit and I managed it without injury so I highly recommend it. (bring earplugs for the cabins however) Visited May 2015

“#1 experience in NZ”

My wife and I hiked the Routeburn in 3 days (2 nights) starting from the Divide and finishing at the Routeburn Shelter. We used Easyhike for our car relocation and that could not have worked out better!!

My plan was to do an overnight cruise in Milford Sound and start the hike the next day. Right before I left Te Anau, I was told that I needed to have snow chains to drive to Milford Sound, no exceptions. I had to promise the gas station, where I rented the chains, that one way or another I would return them (a strict rent only policy) even though I would not be coming back to Te Anau. Easyhike kept that promise for me and returned the chains on my behalf (otherwise I would have had to drive back from Queenstown to keep my promise), I am very lucky i decided to use them. Even though I was unable to get in contact with Bobbie, before I lose cell reception, I sent an email and she was able to return them no problem!

We used a car relocation service called Ezi- Hike, their driver Toni took our car from the divide to the Falls side, would highly recommend this service they were extremely reliable and if time is precious not too much more expensive than the bus.

“Great hike, made even better with EasyHike”

Track is awesome. If you're camping, the first day is disproportionately short and consequently it trickles into longer days afterwards. Aside from that, truly great hike. Don't forget this track is NOT a loop, which means you need a car hire service to bring your car from one end to the other, unless you're using a shuttle service, but frankly it's quite the drive between both ends and one service I inquired about mentioned the shuttle implied an overnight stay in Queenstown. I used EasyHike, which brought my car from one end to the other. Service was awesome. After a quick phone call, they sent an email with all the instructions which were crystal clear. Key box pickup and drop-off were conveniently located and man was I was happy to find my car at the end of the trek. Thank you EasyHike!!!!

“Awesome experience! Highly recommended!”

We did the Routeburn track from the Divide to the Shelter. I am really happy we decided to go in this direction, as you are in constant view of the mountains, and the last day is quite easy (3 hours downhill), especially for tired legs! We had EasyHikes pick up our car at the Divide, and have it ready for us at the shelter which was so convenient. I highly recommend these guys if you want to walk one way and not catch a bus at the end of the trek. We were able to get in our own car straight away and go get a coffee with no waiting around! We did the walk independently and out of season by only a few days.

“Brilliant in every way.”

We spend 3 days doing the track from Glenorchy to the Divide, staying overnight at the Flats & MacKenzie Huts (Wardens are ace!). The weather was gorgeous and sunny for the whole time so we have amazing photographs of the lakes, waterfalls and mountain vistas (I don't have my notes here to clarify site names in the photos). Definitely a highlight on our South Island holiday. Good to plan ahead re: weather conditions, after hike transport and ensure you have bug spray (lots of sandflies at night). We used Easy Hike for our rented camper van relocation. The cost is comparable to 2 bus tickets and we had the flexibility to continue our journey to Mitford Sound rather than catching buses back to Queenstown/Glenorchy. Bobbie was super accommodating making the whole process of relocating our vehicle easy, especially considering that we made a last minute booking.

“New Zealand’s Best”

Last weekend I took some friends and visitors from China across the Routeburn, the experience blew them away. We are all pretty fit and did the track comfortably in one day but I'd like to go back and see more of it.
Bobbie Mulgrew from Easyhike was amazing, she not only arranged for our vehicle to be waiting for us at the other end but she gave us lots of tips and advice that made the day run more smoothly.

We used a service, EasyHikes to move our car from one end of the track to the other and I can't say enough good things about them either. Bobbie Mulgrew runs a top notch operation that is friendly, efficient and very fairly priced.

All in all, between the DOC and Easy Hikes and the majesty of the Routeburn itself, this is a great track.

“A fantastic NZ track – and great car relocation service by “Easyhike””

The Routeburn Track has been on my to-do list for quite some time - and I have to say - it was everything we hoped for and more. We had the most incredible time and have some beautiful photos.

We were a group of 5 people so we wanted to use our own car for transport. We drove to the Divide (near Milford Sound) to start the track - and Easyhike very conveniently relocated our car for us to the Routeburn Shelter (near Glenorchy/Queenstown) whilst we walked the track over three days.

I would highly recommend this "Great Walk" - and if you are looking to use your own car for transport, the team at Easyhike were great to work with.

Thanks Easyhike!

We recently walked the Routeburn track and loved it. Thank the gods the weather was perfect and managed to hike the Conical for spectacular views as well. Accommodation in the huts were clean and cosy with the Rangers being welcoming and informative of the area. Would also like to thank Easyhike for relocating our car to the end of the trail with no fuss as it's about a 5 hour drive one way!!

The Routeburn Track was the trip highlight! Strongly recommended to anyone who visits the South island. The Routeburn Track was an amazing experience we will never forget. We had wonderful weather and could enjoy stunning panoramic views - one of the best walks ever. As the starting and ending points of the track are more than 300 km apart by car, we were very happy to have our car relocated by Easyhike. The relocation procedure was safe and without any problems - thank you Bobby for your wonderful and friendly service. “Wonderful walk, and EasyHike was great”

Despite the weather during our 2night, 3 day walk on the routeburn, we had a really great experience. The hike was beautiful, the people we met along the way were great, and the logistics were very easy, especially because of EasyHike. The car relocation service is *a must*, as it allowed us to walk on our own schedule, and then continue on our way to Milford seamlessly (we walked from Routeburn Shelter to the Divide). Bobbi was so helpful as we were planning our trip and watching the weather--and we even got to meet here in the parking lot and she was so nice and helpful.

“Routeburn Track & Easyhike”

We are locals living not too far from the Routeburn Track and this track was a first for us. We started at the Routeburn Shelter and walked through to the Divide staying at the Falls, Mckenzie & Howden huts along the way. Amazing breathtaking scenery along the way which makes us so proud to have this on our doorstep...as Kiwis we are very fortunate. Weather on the Fiordland side of Harris Saddle was not great with a lot of low cloud and fog thus reducing our view. We were lucky to get up Conical Hill for an amazing view of the Aspiring National Park before the weather closed in though. We also tramped from Howden Hut up to Key Summit catching a great view of the Hollyford Valley.
Easyhike made out trip so much easier and even catered to our request to have our vehicle at the Divide earlier than Scheduled....thanks Bobbie :-) Visited April 2014

Me and a friend did the Routeburn track in 2 days in January (Flats -> the Divide), camping in Lake Mackenzie. “Awesome Family Tramping Experience”

We hiked from the Routeburn Shelter to The Divide with our two boys aged 10&12. We all absolutely loved it and couldn't recommend it more highly to other families. It is an excellent first great walk to do as a family. The boys loved every minute especially the different scenery each day.

We got our car relocated by EasyHike and it was fabulous to have no fixed time to arrive at the end knowing your car would be there.

Would highly recommend this walk with children especially as a very good introduction to tramping as the terrain is so varied they loved seeing what was coming up next. Neither of them struggled with the walk at all. Just make sure you provide them each with a torch at the huts etc!

We walked the Routeburn track over 3 days. Very beautiful scenery, especially going through the valley from Routeburn Falls hut to Harris saddle. We were lucky to have 2 sunny days. We used Easyhike car relocation service so that it was very convenient to pick our car up at the end of the track. It was better than getting a bus back to the start as we wanted to go on to Milford Sound. We enjoyed the talks given by the hut wardens. We walked at a leisurely pace, stopping often to admire the view. The days are long in January so there is plenty of daylight. I would check the waterproofness of your gear beforehand and bring insect repellent for the sandflies and sunscreen.

We walked at a leisurely pace, stopping often to admire the view. The days are long in January so there is plenty of daylight. I would check the waterproofness of your gear beforehand and bring insect repellent for the sandflies and sunscreen. Visited January 2015

“Easyhike”

When you are organising a group of trampers in such an idilic place in New Zealand and have to travel a long way to get there is was pleasing to find a company such as Easyhike to collect our car at one end and have it waiting for us at the other. The process is so easy and secure and means we had the freedom to start our tramp on the Routeburn at our leasure and arrive at the other end without the fear of missing a bus. Because we had this freedom and started at the Divide end, we were able to drive to the Homer tunnel before our tramp to see it and drive through it. A bonus.
The tramp itself is fantastic and the weekend we went (April 12th & 13th) was the only place in NZ where is wasn't raining. Our group of work colleagues tramps every year at this time and The Routeburn has been one of our highlights.   Visited April 2014

“Incredible walk!!! and use Easyhike to make it stress free!”

Incredible scenery - we were on our honeymoon and enjoyed the camp sites as it was much quieter and private - the huts looked awesome but full of people! You need to have good fitness to carry a large pack with tent and everything however, as there are some steep parts to the track. An absolute must is to use Easyhike to transfer your car from the beginning to the end... it was a welcome site to get to the end of the track and find our own car waiting for us! We then had the luxury of driving straight to Milford Sound for a nosey, and stay the night at Te Anau. Otherwise you have no option but to get a bus from Queenstown to the start of the track, and a bus back to Queestown at the end... the cost for 2 people on buses is the same as the car transfer service!! and it gives you so much more freedom, as you can start/end the walk any time you like. Visited March 2014

“Well worth it, made easy with Easyhike car relocation”

We did the walk over 2 days, starting from the Glenorchy side. Stayed at Mackenzie Hut then walked out the following day. Beautiful scenery, well maintained track and comfortable huts. A great track for families seeing as there are 4 huts along the way.

We organised for our vehicle to be picked up by Easyhike who pick up your car and drive it to 'The Divide', at least 4 hours drive, then sometimes run back over! Bobbie was fabulous to deal with, had wonderful communication and was quick to answer emails. Even accommodated me without a hassle

A great NZ Company doing exactly what they say and looking after their customers 100% - totally recommended!!

“Spectacular Routeburn”

The Routeburn is spectacular, it is a must do walk for locals and travelers alike. We have walked it a number of times and it is possible to walk in 1,2 or 3 days with the 3 day option probably the most common. Walking across the Harris Saddle is fantastic every time especially if you are able to cross it while there is still snow on the peaks. As it is a one way walk we have always used EasyHike to transfer the car from one end to the other which is a far more convenient and economic solution than the bus.

“Beautiful scenery on Routeburn Track and easy to arrange with Easyhike”

The 4 of us originally set out to walk the Routeburn Track, and it was awesome, great hut facilities and beautiful scenery! We arranged a car transfer between the Divide and the Routeburn Shelter which all went to plan, and also was even easier when one of our team had to return home and got a ride with easy hike back to the airport!!  Visited April 2014

“Fantastic walk, lots of variety”

This was an excellent walk. We were warned that you have to expect at least one day of bad weather, but the rain never lasted for long and the clouds only added to the spectacular views of and from the mountain summit (at conical hill). The scenery was really varied, and each day was totally different to the one before. I would highly recommend this walk to anyone of average fitness (though there are some very steep up/downhill climbs toward the Lake Mackenzie hut that it's worth being aware of).

We also used Easyhike, who transferred our campervan from one end of the track to the other. Considering the bus costs about 90 dollars per person, it's definitely worth using them if you're walking in a group. They were very helpful and friendly, their system was straightforward and everything went off without a hitch. We arrived at the other end to find our campervan ready to go and with enough petrol to get us back to Te Anau. Again, I'd recommend using this service because the walk is one way only and it's great being able to just leave your car at the start and find it again at the end.  Visited April 2014

“Nature at its finest! Best walk in NZ”

It was an absolutely amazing experience, you cannot leave this area without doing it!!

We hiked from the divide to the routeburn shelter, 2 nights & 3 days, staying at lake mckenzie and routeburn falls hut. The huts are of great quality for their location and of course you get a 5 star view! The 2 lakes along the route were our highlights!

First day it was absolutely pouring with rain, we had to take the flood detour through the waterfall, however this added to the experience! After this the next 2 days were brilliant and could not have been better! Do not let the weather and weather forecast put you off, even if you get one half day of clear skies the trip will be worth it!

We got easyhike to relocate our car from one side to the other, first time we had used them, but it was fantastic. You leave your car at one end and when you finished your car is waiting at the other! Would highly recommend!

I'm kiwi and this is the best tramp I have done in NZ!!

“Routeburn Ramble”

We completed it in one night from Glenorchy to The Divide. Incredible scenery throughout!. Easy Hike's relocation service was awesome. Bobbie met us in Glenorchy, drove the hire car round to The Divide and then walked back to Glenorchy, passing us just as we were coming in to Mackenzie.
Amazing that she devoted a whole day just to the one job and a true show of value for money. Made the whole experience much easier not having to deal with hours of buses at the start and finish.

“Fantastic Routeburn experience with car relocation service by easyhike.co.nz”

Beautiful, mildly challenging hiking with spectacular views. Booked for camping but upgraded to Routeburn Flats hut on first night as it was raining which was no problem as there was space. Would really recommend the car relocation service with easyhike.co.nz which worked out at around the same price as the bus for two. It was super handy to have our car waiting for us at the Divide carpark which meant that we could stay locally and visit Milford Sound the next day. Bobbie from easyhike was extremely helpful and even restarted our car when our battery was flat when he came to pick it up.  Visited March 2014

“Routeburn and Easyhike – a great combination”

We had an absolutely amazing experience walking the Routeburn in a wide variety of weather conditions - rain, mist and gorgeous sunshine, each one a wonderful experience.

What topped it off was the relocation service with Easyhike who relocated our car for us and allowed us to finish the walk and head straight into town. Bobbie what an excellent service. thanks!.

“Truly Great Walk (with transport made easy by Easyhike)”

Transport is something to think of way in advance as the distance between start and end is huge. We think Easyhike does a great job - when cruzing around NZ with your own transport and with two persons or more, vehicle relocation is the only sensible transport option when tramping Routeburn, in terms of cost, convenience and time efficiency. Easyhike provides this service reliably, flexibly and responsively. We appreciated especially that we could arrange for relocation at such short notice (i.e. one day) and that Easyhike was proactive in ensuring that relocation of our campervan was accommodated by our rental company. Thumbs up!

“A Great NZ Walk”

We completed the Routeburn Track, starting at the Divide (Milford side) and finishing at Routeburn Shelter (Glenorchy). It is a fantastic walk and experience that has been at the top of our "return to New Zealand" list and I'm glad we got to check it off the list. Unfortunately, the weather didn't quite cooperate for part of the walk, so we'll have to go back!

We hired Easyhike to move our rental car and everything worked out great. Since we had limited time in New Zealand, the time saved by having our car waiting for us at the end of the track was well worth the price. The communication with Easyhike is very good and they provide detailed instructions that are easy to follow.

Great hike!!
About 3/5ths are above the forest in the alpine area. Great views, great huts, amazing hike! 3 days recommended. Routeburn Falls and Mackenzie huts are best.

We used Easy Hike to move our car to the divide and it was a great help - awesome service!

“Amazing! You’ll feel like a hobbit on an unexpected journey :-)”

Ancient forests, rocky cliffs, enchanting wilderness. I felt like a hobbit on an unexpected journey (though looked more like a dwarf in my oversized raincoat). Just be ready the weather can change rapidly from summer to winter and the rocks are slippery when wet, so extra caution is necessary. I didn't pay enough attention and ended up with a seriously sprained ankle. Luckily, I didn't have a bus to catch as we used EasyHike to relocate our car from the Routeburn Shelter to the Divide. Best decision ever! Sprained ankle is stressful enough even without having to run through the mountains to catch a bus. You never know what slows you down and things don't always go as planned. Routeburn Track is definitely worth walking (you'll see why it's called a GREAT WALK), and based on my experience I would definitely recommend using EasyHike to have your car waiting for you at the end of the track. It made things much easier and saved us a lot of time.

“Routeburn Track with EasyHike Car Relocation”

Ummed and ahhed about transport and in the end went for the car relocation which was a definite winner. Costs about the same for two ppl as the bus would have done and makes for a really easy life. Not only did they save us a day of mucking about collecting the car etc but they also recommended a morning trip to Milford Sounds which we previously hadn't thought we'd have time to squeeze in. Very much recommend this service!!!!   Visited April 2014
